Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm, Stockholm

On the island of Djurgården, just steps from the Asian Art museum, the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholmoffers a dotted with works of Nikki de Saint Phalle, Tingueli, Calder or Dietman garden. The collection began to form in 1958 and now consists of about 30,000 works in all genres from 1900 to the present. The building, designed by Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, was inaugurated in 1998 and has hosted today the permanent collection. It is divided into several categories: painting (Picasso, Picabia, Dali, Miro Rauschenberg ...), photography (Irving Penn, Anna Riwkin ...), drawings (Munch, Fautrier ...), installations, videos, and a section consisting of lumber Nordic artists. The collection is organized chronologically and is complemented by temporary exhibitions of high quality. To see the collections, temporary exhibitions, the museum bookshop do: walk on the island of Djurgården and visit the museum of Asian art, the Vasa Museum and Skansen
